Finding Peace With God
Did you know you can have absolute peace with God? God's word, the Bible, gives us many promises which tell us how to receive peace from God by receiving His precious free gift of salvation.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Romans 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
To receive this peace, you must receive His salvation which also brings you a guarantee of eternal life with God after this life's journey has been completed. Here is what you need to do. Recognize that you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
The Bible says if you continue in your sin, you will spend eternity separated from God in a place called hell.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
A wage is something you earn, a gift is something someone gives you because they love you. You cannot earn a gift. You must confess your sins to God and ask him to forgive you. This can only be accomplished through the finished work of Jesus Christ His Son. Jesus' shed blood on Calvary cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt (you will) be saved.
Do not have faith in the things you have done or what you plan to do, i.e. baptism, communion, etc. It is totally on the merit of Jesus and His shed blood.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
You can receive Him today, sitting in front of the computer. Just speak to God sincerely from your heart. Acknowledge to Him that you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive you of your sins, and to give you His free salvation, and He promises to do just that.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If you have done what I have written above, The Bible says you are now one of God's children. You have been born again.
John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
